Fox Tails

Lumino smelt the air again. Another smell. His fur bristled.
"A Mystic..."

As she listened to the roar of the humans machine strip down where she lived, she broke into a limping run. She blood trickled onto her shoulder.She could feel where the tree collapsed, sending shards of wood into the pelt. The enterance cutting her head as she leapt free of her trap. The explosion of pain as her paw struck the ground, and the pain as the Human thing drove over her tails. Two tails hung limply, the third bleeding.

"The Mystic is hurt" Lumino lowered his head

Kinta fell, crashing into a thicket. She sneezed. She simply could not get back up. Her sides heaved with pain. Suddenly she realised something. her belly was swollen She looked around. She was going to be a mother!? She noticed a willow tree, poppy plant and a birch. All the things she'd need! She used her claws to tear off the willow, and chewed it. She plastered it onto her cut, then wrapped it in Birch. As silly as it looked, infection would not come. She shook some poppy seeds and licked them up, waiting for the magic properties to chase away the pain.

Lumino steped forward. He wasn't going to shout at the Mystic for taking their food. He didn't have time.
"Mystic? Why are you here?"

"My den was stripped down. I barely escaped with my life! I... I may be carrying cubs also, but as yet it is unclear."

A sudden, vivid flash erupted. She yelped with suprise, eyes wide.

A vision overtook her mind. The forest was peacful. She was sat, with three cubs, making them dance around a paw. She looked up. These cubs were not safe. She stood. The cubs sat in anxious anticipation. She heard a rumble, a roar, very near. She yelped and dashed off with her cubs. A voice whispered " Four become three, three become two, two becomes one." She yelped as a human monster rolled above her... she was dying..dying..

"Can you help us escape...?" Lumino asked quickly. "We can help you in return"

"Yes. I will" the images shed witnessed shocked her.

"How do we stop them without losing Inverni?"

"I... I had a vision. You camp won't exist soon, maybe tomorrow. A river is blocking them, for now; they build bridges quick. They hate to get their paws muddy."

"We have time" Lumino whispered. "Come" He said, looking at her injuries

"Lumino...I...I... I had a vision. it said 'four become three, three become two, two becomes one. It could have two meanings, as far as I can tell. Either three clans will perish. But, in the dreams, i see three cubs. It might mean I..." She looked at her swollen belly and suddenly, she realised...

"What?" Lumino's eyes widened

"It could mean my cubs perish. I can't believe I never realised but- I think I'm due. Soon."

"The pups would represent the packs..." Lumino realised. Which pack would survive?

Ouchh...

Lotus flicked her tail about anxiously,glancing around the Den slowly as she got to her feet,pacing the full perimeter of the Den.. She had never been more anxious or worried,but excited at the same time...

Sideswipe sat silently at the edge of the Pack,her tails sweeping the floor as she glanced around. A low growl escaped her muzzle as she heard a twig snap,but only to see it was another Kitsune on patrol. She shook her head,she had a bad feeling for some reason...

Suddenly Kinta felt a jolt inside her. "Yup, due"

Lumino looked up at her. "Come to my den, It's nice and soft..."

"Thankyou, but I beleive I might give birth any minute... I need the Nursery.. If the you have one."

Lumino nodded, leading the way.
"It's just the time we have..."

Kinta lay down and nodded. *BIG TIME JUMP* She nuzzled the four cubs she had given birth to. She had named them after the Four Clans.

Lumino took a deep breath. This was an Hounor

"This one" She picked out Inervini "Looks like you, Lumino" *NOT SUGGESTING ANYTHING*

Lumino suddered slightly. "They are representing the packs..."

"Lumino," Cometa called in. "The Humans have stopped. Some other Humans were hugging the trees, guess they didn't want to fight over it, but they did yell a lot." She padded in, and dipped her head to Kinta.
"But they might come back. We need to leave, and quickly."
